Abstract

Criminal acts, it can be said in the form of official terms in our criminal legislation.  Almost all laws and regulations use the term criminal act, as in Law no.  6 of 1982 concerning Copyright, (replaced by Law No. 19/2002), Law no.  11/PNPS/1963 concerning the Eradication of Subversion Crimes, Law no.  3 of 1971 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption (replaced by Law No. 31 of 1999), and other laws.  Criminal Events, used by several legal experts, for example Mr.  R. Tresna in his book Principles of Criminal Law, Lawmakers have also used the term criminal incident, namely in the Provisional Constitution of 1950 (read Article 14 paragraph 1). Delik, which actually comes from the Latin delictum, is also used to describe what is meant by strafbaar feit.  This term can be found in various literatures, for example Prof.  Moeljatno has also used other terms, such as in the title of his book Trial Delicts, Delicts of Participation, although according to him the term criminal act is more appropriate.
