The purpose  of this research is to find out and analyze the factors that cause the crime of theft in  aggravating circumstances. This type of research is normative with a statutory approach.  The data used is secondary data consisting of primary and secondary legal materials.  Factors causing the crime of theft in aggravating circumstances are due to economic,  educational, family, environmental factors, victim negligence and weak law enforcement.  For this reason, it is recommended that members of the public not do it because it is very  detrimental to other people and the threat of punishment is also quite severe.
