Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work discipline and communication on improving employee performance through compensation at the crew of the Kualanamu hotel, Deli Serdang Regency. This study is a quantitative study with a population and up to 35. The sample technique used is simple random sampling, the main method used is the distribution of questionnaires, while the auxiliary method used is documentation of testing the hypothesis of this study using multiple linear analysis, t pasial test and simultaneous test F. The results of data analysis with multiple linear regression equations Y = 7.183 + 0.171 (X1) + 0.677 (X2) + 0.120 (Z). With this, it states that testing hypothesis 1 there is an influence between work discipline (X1) on Employee Performance Improvement (Y) in employees of The Crew Hotel KualaNamu, Deli Serdang Regency. This test proves that partially (t) Work Facilities do not have a significant impact on Employee Performance Improvement. The results of hypothesis 2 testing show that there is an effect of communication (X2) on improving employee performance (Y) in Medan PPKS employees. This can be seen from the significant value of 0.171>0.05 which means that the hypothesis in this study is rejected and accepted. The test proved that work discipline (X1) had a significant effect on compensation (Z) on employees of The Crew Hotel KualaNamu, Deli Serdang Regency. This can be seen from the significant value of 0.677>0.05 which means that the hypothesis in this study is rejected and accepted. Testing proves that communication (X2) has a significant effect on compensation (Z) for employees of the hotel crew of deli serdang regency. This can be seen from the significant value of 0.120>0.05 which means that the hypothesis in this study is rejected and accepted. Based on the results of the calculation of hypothesis 4 with the help of the SPSS program, it can be seen that what is obtained is 0.999%. Thus, work discipline and communication have a positive and significant effect on improving employee performance through compensation at the crew of the hotel kualanamu deli serdang regency.
